Shop Local ~ Box of Fate

One of the high spots of my week was receiving my Box of Fate, a new subscription service featuring emerging artists and small business owners.

Each box contains exclusive designer accessories by Art of Fate, a Rhode Island fashion house, and samples of locally made beauty and wellness products from socially-conscious businesses.

So what's inside?

First, the box itself is simple elegance. I'm ridiculously charmed by that ribbon.

Open the box, and inside is a pretty surprise: a sprig of salignum foliage and dried starflowers. I must find a teeny tiny budvase for them.

Under the tissue wrap is a collection of fun and adorable things. Up top are pretty calcite and shell earrings by The Art of Fate.

Next up was a toner/refresher from Infinity Apothecary, called Fresh|Face.

There was also a muslin sachet filled with dried rosebuds from Moonstone Beach, usable as a sachet or a tea by Farmacy Herbs. The whole box smelled sweet and floral.

Next up, we have a sample of honey oatmeal soap, hand-cured in South Attleboro by Pretty & Practical. The scent is very nice on its own, and paired nicely with the roses in the sachet.

The next item was quite intriguing. Violet's Coffee instant Columbian coffee cubes. Dissolve them in hot or cold water or milk, and drink. And they're direct-trade with the farmers.

Finally, there's a coupon for 10% off a new spring 'do at La La Luxe Salon in Providence.

Subscriptions start at $40 monthly, and the per-month cost goes down for longer durations. For a limited time, Box of Fate is offering $5 off on subscriptions. Use the code TREATYOSELF and treat yo'self to a box or twelve!
