1. Tell us about your work
Most of the photos are scenes of the ocean state and animal portraits. All landscapes are from various areas in the state of Rhode Island, and the animal portraits are from little rhody as well.

2. Is there a story behind the name of your business?
I love Rhode Island, it has a little of everything in it. Capturing the charm of RI makes the name Ocean State Scenes very fitting.

3. How did you come to be a professional artist/crafter/designer?
I am an auto mechanic by trade, however while I was in school, I enjoyed and excelled in art. It began as a hobby and has slowly grown from there. Etsy was a great tool to take my hobby to the next level.

4. Where do you draw your inspiration?
I draw inspiration from many different things. Sometimes photos help depict a feeling of joy, sometimes peace. I get a lot of inspiration from everything around me.

5. What’s your favorite item to create?
I love taking photos. I also paint and draw however those items are not for sale at this time.

6. What’s your best seller?
Photo prints of animals in motion.

7. How long have you been in Rhode Island?
All my life.

8. What do you {heart} about Rhode Island?
I love that Rhode Island has a little bit of everything. We have cities, towns, beaches and woods. You can find an adventure anywhere. Plus, its very central to New England so there are many places to visit that are only a day trip away.

9. Favorite place to take out-of-towners?
If I told you that, it wouldn't be a secret anymore. But depending on who and what their preference is, I may bring them to Newport for the day, or for a hike in the Great Swamp.

10. Any advice for new/wannabe makers?
Follow your dreams, do what you enjoy not what others expect you to enjoy.
