1. Tell us about your work
I make a lot of tags. It started as a favor for a friend and kind of grew from there. Vintage items are a life long passion for me. I find charm and quality missing from the goods of today.

2. Is there a story behind the name of your business?
Growing up I was surrounded by strong women full of character. While doing some research on Colonial homes and era following I came across the keeping room. Often found just behind the kitchen women would gather here to prepare and sew and socialize while they worked. The idea stuck with me.

3. How did you come to be a professional artist/crafter/designer?
Simply a desire to craft. Etsy provided the vehicle for me.

4. Where do you draw your inspiration?
I draw inspiration from history, from Pinterest and fellow crafters on etsy.

5. What’s your favorite item to create?
I especially like wreaths and creating primitive gatherings which is like a mini window display and you get a little collection of items. Quotable signs are a favorite too.

6. What’s your best seller?
Tags of all kinds and wooden signs Antique lanterns

7. How long have you been in Rhode Island?
I have been a Rhode Island resident all of my life.

8. What do you {heart} about Rhode Island?
I love the location of Rhode Island. Easy road trip to all of New England, New York and Washington DC (I am a fan of the monuments and museums) and without a doubt the beaches!

9. Favorite place to take out-of-towners?
I always take out - of - towners to Newport and my home town Wickford.

10. Any advice for new/wannabe makers?
My best advice is perfect your craft and the rest will come naturally
