Featuring 25+ Food Trucks, 50+ Great Regional Craft Beers
Providence, RI – The Providence Food Truck and Craft Beer Festival will return on Saturday, August 6th from 11am-6pm (VIP Hour from 11am – Noon) at India Point Park Park. You will find 25+ food trucks paired with 25+ of the area’s most popular local craft brewers with 50+ of the best craft beers in the region. “Food trucks and craft beer just belong together,” says Anne-Marie Aigner, founder of Food Truck Festivals of America. In addition, we will have more traffic police and better parking options to ensure the best customer experience possible.

Jacqueline Bouvier spent much of her childhood in the City by the Sea, the couple was married at St. Marcy’s Church and they often returned during family vacations. To offer insight on this popular era in 20th century American history, the Newport Historical Society is pleased to host the talk John F. Kennedy in Newport on Thursday June 23, 2016.
Using archival materials from the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum, Tom Putnam, the Library’s former director, will lead a conversation about John F. Kennedy and the time he spent in Newport especially during his one thousand days in our nation’s highest office. Newport, RI – June 2016 – During the 20th century, Newport, like many other modernizing American cities, experienced a variety of changes in patterns of food consumption and purchase. Many of these changes are featured in the Newport Historical Society’s latest exhibit Newport Eats: Dining in the 20th Century, which highlights food-related objects and photographs.
This exhibit, which is the first in the Society’s history-of-food initiative, Newport Eats, highlights the public and private dining experiences of Newport County residents during an often-overlooked period and includes menus, announcements, tableware and other ephemera related to local eateries of the 20th century. WAKEFIELD – Summer is on its way, and the Contemporary Theater Company is gearing up for a great season in Downtown Wakefield!

The company always features three mainstage productions in the summer. This year the season features The Fantasticks, a musical, Rumors, a comedy, and Slamming Doors, a full-length improvised farce.

“The Fantasticks is a classic musical, led by the team from last fall’s production of Sweeney Todd,” says Communications Director Maggie Cady. “It’s the longest running musical is off-Broadway history, and we’re sure that audiences are going to love our version with a little CTC flair!”

Following a pair of young, star-crossed lovers, The Fantasticks beautifully tells a tale of love in the moonlight, and in the harsh light of day.
