1. Tell us about your work
We make organic body & household products in small batches, as well as original paintings and jewelry. The body products we offer consist of organic sugar scrubs, body lotions, lip balms, face masks, etc. and they all use organic ingredients such as coconut oils, sunflower oils, sugars and essential oils. We also offer men's products ranging from lotions to beard oils and after-shave mists. The household products we create are based in natural anti-bacterial/anti-viral agents such as white vinegar, isopropyl alcohol or baking soda combined with pure essential oils. We like to use essential oils because they not only have a positive effect on the mood of the user, but also contain natural germ-fighting qualities and boost the body's immunity-defenses.

2. Is there a story behind the name of your business?
Kassondra and I have been best friends for over 15 years (!!), born and raised in the Ocean State. We both attended college in Newport, RI where our love for the sea grew into infatuation. We turn to the ocean for self-centering and calmness. We also use nature's gifts and products derived directly from nature for our own self-healing (and cleaning) ~ and have gained knowledge of the natural way of living through our travels together; thus, incorporating a natural, "gypsy" state of living.

3. How did you come to be a professional artist/crafter/designer?
In 2013, we started making Christmas gifts for close family and friends that mainly included the body products we create. We received such positive feedback, we decided to make it into a brand for more people to enjoy. When Blair had her baby in March 2013, she strayed away from using chemicals to clean her house, and thus created the natural line of household products!

4. Where do you draw your inspiration?
We turn to nature for all of our inspiration and ideas. Through exploration of how live naturally, sans chemicals and toxins, we complete dense research of the things nature provides us with, and how we can use these things to self-heal and improve our bodies and homes.

5. What’s your favorite item to create?
We love them all! Kassondra is certified in Reiki Energy Healing, and the mists she creates (and uses during her healing sessions) enhance certain moods of her clients. So, its fun for us to mix essential oils and create mists that have different effects on the user.

6. What’s your best seller?
Our organic sugar scrubs are popular - like our lotions, we can create many different scent combinations. By using certain ingredients, like organic coffee grounds, each scrub has a specific effect on the skin (the coffee firms skin and lessens cellulite). Our all-organic coconut oil/Beeswax Lip Balms are also popular, and our calming Lavender Linen Mist!

7. How long have you been in Rhode Island?
Our whole lives, all 26 years! :)

8. What do you {heart} about Rhode Island?
Obviously we cannot deny our love of the ocean. But, we also like the changing of the seasons, and how our state has something for everyone; the hikers, the shoppers, the city-dwellers and the country lovers... and the seafood can't be beat :)

9. Any advice for new/wannabe makers?
Find something you're passionate about, stay positive, and the rest will just follow.

10. Please include anything else you’d like to add:
We love to complete custom orders for bridesmaids, graduation gifts, men's products, or Christmas baskets. We also attend local fairs, festivals and bazaars - so check in with us often on our instagram page and facebook to see where we'll be! :)
