1. Tell us about your work
Post Road Soap Co. provides handmade and all natural alternatives to over-the-counter bath and body products. Handmade soaps are made in small batches the old-fashioned way of cold-process. There's a wide variety of soaps that are perfect for blemishes, aging skin, extremely dry or cracked skin, sensitivities, and even baby's delicate skin. Our other products are chemical free, paraben free, and eco-friendly. From sugar scrubs to mud masks, we have just what your skin needs!

2. How did you come to be a professional artist/crafter/designer?
Post Road Soap Co. started in July of 2014 and became an LLC in January. I became very aware of the toxic chemicals in my bath products when my daughter was born. I questioned everything- where her food came from, what products I use on her delicate skin- only to be disappointed when I learned what ingredients go into these items for babies! It started as a hobby of sorts. I would make things for my daughter like chest congestion rub, diaper cream, and lotion using all natural ingredients I've actually heard of! My hobby bloomed into a business shortly after. I wanted to provide alternatives to over-the-counter products we use everyday. It only made sense that I should combine my career with my passion!

3. Where do you draw your inspiration?
Inspiration is found from the needs of my family, friends, and especially myself. I'm always testing new ways to treat my skin and it's inspired my mud mask and activated charcoal and tea tree oil face soap.

4. What’s your favorite item to create?
My favorite item to create is a brand new one! I love the research that goes into creating a new products. Bringing all my knowledge together creates something that will work for your skin type without exposing yourself to harmful additives. It's pretty exciting!

5. What’s your best seller?
Hands down my best seller is the charcoal and tea tree face soap. It helps clear up blemishes while providing a deep clean to your pores. My customers keep coming back for more!

6. How long have you been in Rhode Island?
I'm 26 years old and I've lived in Rhode Island since birth. My great-grandparents came to RI and no one has left since!

7. What do you {heart} about Rhode Island?
Rhode Island is a beautiful state that all Rhode Islanders take for granted sometimes. 40 minutes to the countries best beaches, 20 minutes to our historic state capital. Every great thing about our state is at an arms length. It's crazy how often we say or hear, "I know Vinny, too! It's a small world, huh?" Because of that we take pride in one another. Have you ever stayed out of state for more than a few weeks? You start getting giggly and proud when RI or anything in it shows up on TV.... I've had that feeling.. that's why I love Rhode Island!
