1. Tell us about your work:
I create retro-inspired and traditional tattoo-inspired items such as shower caps, sleep masks, bowties, hand-embroidered wedding hankies, baby onesies, aprons, oven mitts and scarves, etc.

2. How did you come to be a professional artist/crafter/designer?
It started as a hobby to keep myself busy as a stay-at-home-mom, which later evolved into a business to support myself and my little one.

3. Where do you draw your inspiration?
I love all things mid-century, so aesthetically there are a lot of retro influences. When I'm having some difficulty or in need of a break, I will often browse through antiques and other vintage items to get my creative gears turning. I have an appreciation for a lot of things and genres, so I dislike categorizing myself as just "retro", but usually it's the easiest answer to give. I love the timelessness of traditional tattoos, goth/pop culture/80's era stuff. There's a mix of everything if you look hard enough. And, I don't admit it too freely, but I also find inspiration in friends and will sometimes pick up a pattern because it reminded me of a friend.

4. What’s your favorite item to create?
At the moment, sleepmasks. I'm having fun pairing colors/patterns with the satin and lace trim.

5. What’s your best seller?
Shower Caps, by far. Wouldn't have even seen that one coming if I was asked that question 3 years ago!

6. How long have you been in Rhode Island?
I'm originally from RI, but I have been back in the Ocean State for a year and a half.

7. What do you {heart} about Rhode Island?
There are a lot of things! I can't pinpoint a favorite eatery (because there are so many!) so I'll just say "food", architecture, East Matunuck Beach, the accents, local shops and lastly, that we're historically a state full of outcasts.

8. Please include anything else you’d like to add:
I am in the process of moving into a new studio, so I'm really stoked to be able to say that I will be able to offer by-appointment visits in the near future!
