Giveaway ~ Taste Trekkers Food Conference Tickets

Taste Trekkers Food Conference
September 20-22, various locations
Providence, Rhode Island

I've been excited about the Taste Trekkers Food Conference since I heard about it last year. The first of its kind in the country, Taste Trekkers chose Providence because of our reputation for quality and diverse cuisine, and our cooperative community of food professionals.

Here's a little more about it:

I'm excited to be able to give away a pair of tickets to the Saturday events at the Biltmore! To enter, leave a comment telling us why Providence was a great choice for a Food Tourism Conference.

Each comment will be given a number, and the winner will be selected by a random generator on Wednesday, Sept. 18 at noon.

Can't wait? You can receive a $15 discount when you purchase tickets by following this link: http://tastetrekkers2013.eventbrite.com/?discount=iheartrhody

Good luck, and good eating!

  1. Providence couldn't have been a better choice! It's a city full of innovative chefs creating menus influenced by cuisines from both all over the world and from here in our backyard. Having grown up in the mid-west full of chain restaurants and food without identity, Providence offers exciting, locally owned restaurants on every street.

  2. Providence is an outstanding choice for a Food Tourism Conference because from our seven hills there's an extra-ordinary choice of food trucks, Mom and Pop restaurants, haute cuisine and one-of-a-kind eateries, there's hundreds of choices from "fine" to family.

  3. I think Providence was chosen for the fact that even though RI is the smallest state it has such a huge representation of amazing restaurants, James Beard nominated chefs, local meats and fresh seafood. I am so proud to be from a state that has more independent restaurants than chains and has a restaurant for any type of cuisine you have a hankering for( all probably 20 minutes away!)

  4. Providence is not only filled to the brim with diverse cuisine, but it is ahead of the curve in the realm of experimental cocktails and food. There are few places in this country where you can so easily find exactly what your stomach is craving with the service you deserve.
