Seen Unseen macro photography exhibit, 9/7-10/26/2013, Warwick Public Library

The photography exhibit, “Seen Unseen”, will be on display September 7th through October 26th at the Warwick Public Library. The exhibition features 56 print photographs showcasing macro and close up photography by seven photographers.

Under the supervision of photographer/educator Shane Gutierrez, the photographers explored several different locations throughout Rhode Island and Southern New England. Shane worked with his students to explore and study composition and close up photography at The Butterfly Zoo, Fort Witherill, Buttonwood Farm, Quonset Air Museum, Blithewold Mansion, Tower Hill Botanical Gardens, John Chaffee Nature Preserve and Rhode Island cemeteries. The students’ photographs offer a unique perspective exploring their own artistic style of light, texture, color, tonality and composition.

The exhibition includes a reception celebration on Sunday, October 6th, 2 – 4 p.m. including light snacks and beverages. The photographers will be available to discuss their artwork with the public. All prints are available for purchase throughout the duration of the show. The photographers are: Allyson Barth, Karen Carr, Leigh Anne Janell, Helen Lambiase, Alyson McCann, Chris Marshall and Ehsun Mirzo.

The Warwick Public Library is located at 600 Sandy Lane, Warwick, RI 02889. The exhibit hours are: Monday – Thursday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday – Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday, 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. beginning September 7th.
