1. Tell us about your work:
I have been a maker for as long as I can remember, but most recently I have been drawn to stone. I feel that textures, colors, and forms that are created in nature are so incredibly beautiful and I try to make pieces that bring out these traits in the stones I cut and polish.

2. How did you come to be a professional artist/crafter/designer?
I have been making and creating my entire life. I went to school for fine arts at Pratt at Munson Williams Proctor and then transferred to RISD for jewelry and metalsmithing. After graduating I worked for a small company learning the ins and outs of running a small business. Last fall I had the opportunity to create a line as a featured artist for Anthropologie and ever since I have been working part time on my own line.

3. Where do you draw your inspiration?
I draw my inspiration from the natural world around me. Color, texture, and form fascinate me.

4. What’s your favorite item to create?
I love creating new things so usually whatever new piece or project in the works is my favorite.

5. What’s your best seller?
My best seller is probably my electroformed feather pieces, I am unfortunately out of them right now but am working on launching a Kickstarter soon to help aide in the cost of a setup.

6. How long have you been in Rhode Island?
I've lived in RI for 5 years now, I came here for RISD and fell in love!

7. What do you {heart} about Rhode Island?
Oh so many things! I love the close knit community of Providence, there is so much happening here and I love watching the city grow. I also love all of the wonderful beaches :)
