6. How long have you been in Rhode Island?
I moved to Rhode Island with my husband, a native, from NYC, in 2004, a few months before the birth of our son.

7. What do you {heart} about Rhode Island?
Oh oh! I love the beaches and swimming in the ocean! The scale of RI suits me perfectly, so easy to get around, but also with lots of space. I think RI has the best of city and small town life.

8. Please include anything else you’d like to add:
You can see my work in person at Studio Hop on Hope Street. I have a large show of paintings of Morocco at Tea in Sahara on Governor St. up through January 10. Its a great little Moroccan-owned cafe. On Wednesdays at noon I offer watercolor classes there. I have a show of still life paintings, Color Play, at the Bank RI Gallery in the Turk’s Head building downtown through January 5, 2013. I also offer painting workshops in France and Morocco which you can check out at www.moroccansketchbook.com.

Another exciting for me detail: Fellow Rhode Island crafter and author Elyse Press Major -of the cottage/ tinkered treasures blog- wrote two articles on me, published this year! one on my art for Romantic Homes Magazine and one on my home for Cottages and Bungalows Magazine.
cheers

Thanks so much for including me on I heart Rhody!
