I should say right out that I'm not a football fan (or sports fan at all, for that matter). Even so, I'll make an exception for the Super Bowl if the company and/or food is good. Both were true at the Everyman Bistro last night. I joined another outing of the Providence Newcomers Meetup, and although I only stayed for the first half and halftime show, I had a great time.
The Bistro has a great ambience, with a small stage area for live performances, and lots of polished wood and sandblasted brick. Apparently they also have art in their "sky gallery," but I didn't get a chance to take a look this time.

I tried the sweet potato fries (really good), and when I asked for horseradish sauce, the bartender told me they only had horseradish. When she returned a few minutes later, it was a with a bowl of horseradish sauce. The kitchen had made some up special for me! That's what I call service.
The bartender seemed a bit harried. Not surprisingly, it was an unusually large crowd for the smallish bistro. Nevertheless, she kept smiling and kept the drinks moving.

It was a lot of fun, and I'll go back on a quieter night, and check out the artwork, too.
I've never heard of the The Everyman Bistro. Sounds (and looks) great. Thanks for the recommendation.
